Even if I choose Word here, and tell it to "do the same for all files of this type from now on", it still makes me do the same thing if I choose a. doc file that was attached as forum post, it gives me a pop-up window asking what program I want to use to open the file. doc that was an uploaded file (a part of our site's "Resources"), then the download and launch into Word app is seamless. I made that change and have been somewhat successful. RE: Browser Firefox: I use Firefox so I decided to look for a setting in my preferences regarding Word Documents and found that I was set to save the file instead of using Word to open the file. RE: Forced Downloads - So far, whether I upload a file, or attach one to a post, I do not see a "Force Download" option, but I will keep my eyes open for it. ![]()
